TIA's Development Solutions

Tools We Use

Since 1980, TIA has been developing custom learning solutions and successful adoption programs for end-users. The tools have changed – but the importance has not. If you want your employees to be compliant, productive, and successful – you need effective and well-designed learning solutions. TIA is software agnostic, and has experience with a variety of tools and platforms to serve each client’s needs, and deliver modern learning solutions, such as listed below:

Articulate is one eLearning solution for your entire project and the TIA’s Team most favorite tool for building courses and microlearning. Articulate 360 makes every aspect of e-learning course development simpler, faster, and less expensive. The basis of Articulate leverages PowerPoint—a tool everyone knows—to create presentation-based courses with audio and video, rich media, interactions, and quizzing, for any device, faster than ever. The built-in libraries of avatars, voices, graphics and robust templates, make this a great tool for an agile development process. Storyline is easy for recording web-based simulations and building animated technical courses quickly and easily. It's simple enough for beginners, yet powerful enough for experts. Courses are SCORM compliant and can be published to mobile devices, the web, desktops, and leading LMSs, as well as TIA’s own LaaS.
In Captivate you can leverage the Adobe creative cloud of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to pump up your eLearning. TIA's experience and knowledge of adult learning requirements means we can use Captivate to create engaging eLearning using custom graphics, actors, voices, interactions, and quizzes, as well as provide document outputs. The web-based simulations provide multi-mode options such as, “View Me”, “Try Me” and “Test Me”.  Finally, we leverage Captivate's best-in-class HTML5 publishing so we can deliver any content to mobile devices, the web, desktops, and leading LMSs, as well as TIA’s own LaaS.
TIA has created several projects using the uPerform eLearning tool.  If your organization has spent significant time and resources building out your UPK library and would like to convert your content, Ancile uPerform may be a good option.  uPerform is very similar to UPK with recordings turned into simulations and a variety of document outputs. It also offers an engine to convert your UPK content. The conversion is about 90%, but there is an effort needed to update the remaining 10% and includes content management tracking.
Camtasia is a cost-effective recording tool to truly customize and edit your videos. TIA uses this as an alternative for building simulations and recording tasks for technical training. It is easy to record on-screen activity, add imported media, create interactive content, and share high-quality, HD videos that your learners can watch anytime, on nearly any device. The videos integrate with many of the other tools listed here to create robust eLearning.
Assima Training Suite (ATS) is only for creating system simulations. It captures the objects that make up an application's interface including labels, buttons, tables and menus. The resulting application clone contains objects that match the original application in appearance and behavior. It provides guidance to learners as an overlay that integrates seamlessly with the application. Think of it as a just-in-time Help system.
TIA uses Powtoon videomaker for hype videos and sizzle reels to introduce training or for change management messages. Effectively communicate with engaging videos everyone will love! It's quick & easy. It has hundreds of video templates for HR, internal communications, marketing, sales, learning, and more. It is intuitive to use with drag and drop content and graphics, and has great support. The video outputs can export to YouTube, as well as integrate in many of the eLearning tools listed here.
For many years, TIA developed UPK learning solutions for Oracle customers – and presented at numerous conferences and user group meetings ways to pump it up because of its structured eLearning and graphic limitations.
Now that Oracle is sunsetting the product – time to make a change!!
